Docs That Rock

The Doc That Turned Dark

While recording his first album Everything In Transit under his Jack’s Mannequin moniker, Andrew McMahon was diagnosed with lymphoblastic leukemia. So the filming sessions that were supposed to become a making of the album and tour doc turned into a life or death medical doc. Pretty visceral stuff, from the effects of chemotherapy treatments to Andrew’s bone marrow transplant from his sister Kate to his first small comeback concert and more. Tommy Lee (yes, that Tommy Lee) who played drums in the studio for Jack’s also serves at the film’s narrator. Proceeds from the film will benefit the Dear Jack Foundation for funding cancer research.
